Akshaye likes to play games

Besides acting, guess what Akshaye Khanna's hobby is? He likes to play chess on the sets in his spare time. And we heard that after Aamir Khan, 'AK' is the only player who is an expert at this mind game. The other day we spotted him on the sets of his multi starrer Race . Guess what he was doing? He was engrossed in a game of chess and giving him company was the petite Katrina Kaif.

"If not an actor, I would have become a professional chess player or a grandmaster like Viswanath Anand," he says. While Katrina is new to Bollywood as well as to the game, Akshaye is an old player. "I'm learning the tricks from Akshaye and he's a dam good player. You can't just beat him in this game," Katrina says "It's a great game to relax your mind and since I'm working on a multi starrer, at times we have to wait for hours for out shot's turn and chess is the best game to pass time and also sharpen your brains."

While Akshaye prefers to remain quiet and concentrate on his game. "When he is shooting, only three things keep him going, tea, cigarettes and a game of chess. He can sit in at the chess table for hours and hours on end," says his man Friday. We decided not to intrude further and left him with his pretty opponent and his favourite game... chess.

Title games to stay at War Memorial

The Arkansas high school football state championships won’t be leaving War Memorial Stadium any time soon. War Memorial and the Arkansas Activities Association signed a 10-year deal earlier this year to keep the games in Little Rock, stadium manager Charlie Staggs said. Staggs said War Memorial and the AAA always had a “gentleman’s agreement” before a contract was signed this summer. Under its terms, Staggs said War Memorial will receive 15 percent of ticket sales. There is a $ 35, 000 buyout if an entity wants to move a game to another site, Staggs said. State championship games have been played at War Memorial since 1983.
